Important and beautiful news by Fabric London!

Fabric London a few hours ago gave an important and beautiful news!

This is the text of the announcement:”We are hugely thankful to be able to confirm the news that we have won our licence back. We owe everything to our supporters. We really would not be here today without your unparalleled support and generosity. So many different people stepped up to put their voices to our cause, artists from all corners of the music community, fellow promoters who have put on huge events from us and clubbers from around the world who all united behind us. We’ve even seen people sporting their #savefabric T Shirts on the other side of this planet showing just how big this thing is.

So, thank you to all of you. Without the strength of your backing this would not have happened. You saved fabric. We’ll be back with some news about #saveourculture and our next steps when we can.

We are very happy to hear this announcement and- as usual- we will update you.

Ibiza by night supported the Fabric campaign from the start, so we are particularly happy!

Stay tuned.

Sad news from Fabric London!

We have sad news by Fabric London.

This is the official note.

Re: The Outcome Of Our Licence Review Hearing

We are extremely disappointed with Islington Council’s decision to revoke our license. This is an especially sad day for those who have supported us, particularly the 250 staff who will now lose their jobs. Closing fabric is not the answer to the drug-related problems clubs like ours are working to prevent, and sets a troubling precedent for the future of London’s night time economy.

We want to also say a huge thank you to the support we received, 150,000 of you signed the petition to support us and London’s nightlife. All of our community – fellow promoters, artists, venues, friends, magazines, blogs, ravers all our family have backed us online offering up their platforms and resources – we have been deeply touched by seeing you all rally together behind us.

It’s too early to comment on what our next step will be, but for now we have asked Resident Advisor to issue refunds for all the upcoming events we have sold tickets for..”

We are very sad for this news. We gave our full support to fabric and we are disappointed for what happened.

The team of Ibiza by night.
