International Music Summit Ibiza announces 2017 edition!
IMS, International Music Summit, is one of the most influent festivals worldwide.
Next May will be celebrated in Ibiza IMS 10th anniversary, and as usual it will be unmissable.
As all the years, IMS presents a program with many important guests, conferneces and events: 2017 edition will take place 24th till 26th May.
So, save the date, because of the countdown for Ibiza 2017 has started.
The organizers said:”International Music Summit (IMS) is the three-day inspirational and educational platform held annually in the dance music capital Ibiza. A wide spectrum of electronic music industry professionals participate in a series of talks, interactive workshops, intimate networking opportunities, inspiring dinners and club events led by skilled experts, experienced business minds and talented artists.
IMS sets out to educate, inspire and encourage the sharing of new ideas and 2017 marks a decade of dynamic change in the sector and provides a theme for this year’s most engaging debates.
Founded by electronic music industry’s most respected individuals including Ben Turner, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong MBE, and Ibiza heavyweights, Danny Whittle, Mark Netto and Simeon Friend, participants and curators alike, they all share a passion for electronic dance music and culture and are invested in shaping its future. The curators invite the most relevant, candid and thought-provoking speakers with participants from all around the world – providing a tangible opportunity to connect and learn.
IMS speakers over the decade have included David Lynch, Quincy Jones, Chuck D, P.Diddy plus every major DJ on the planet. The founders of YouTube, Instagram and Twitter have all spoken. Nile Rodgersand Giorgio Moroder made the first Daft Punk collaboration announcement on the stage at IMS. Lynch’s recent music career was revealed at this event in Ibiza. It was the Ibiza delegates who supported IMS partner Ben Turner’s vision to take IMS a step further, to create the much-needed global trade body AFEM: Association for Electronic Music. The annual IMS Business Report also helped measure the global value of electronic music for delegates to use to win deals and, in many cases, sell companies. IMS founding partner Pioneer DJ have also been integral to the event’s success with continued products revealed at the event, and critical industry products like KUVO were conceived from discussions at the IMS Ibiza event.
IMS Ibiza takes place during the island’s opening season week, with a multitude of high profile events in iconic venues including Pacha, DC10, Amnesia and Ushuaia featuring the world’s biggest DJs. This year there is a return of the ‘Back2Live’ event – a special and unique showcase that celebrates the crossover between electronic and live music. There is also the annual IMS Legends Dinner to honor those that have left a legacy on the culture and industry. Previous award winners include Nile Rodgers, Fatboy Slim, Sven Vath, Carl Cox and Pepe Roselló, Founder of Space Ibiza.
Thereis of course a fitting Grand Finale, offering the opportunity to dance in one of the most uniquelocations in the world – a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Dalt Villa. Undoubtedly a rare and alternative opportunity to dance on and enjoy the 2500-year-old castle. Previous headliners have included Carl Cox, Solomun, Sven Vath, Rudimental and Pete Tong.“

Space’s Farewell: the party that is already in the legend books.
So, Space has shut its doors for the last time but not before it threw one heck of a party! Its story will be told with pride to both our children and our grandchildren.
With Space gone, it has taken away a piece of Ibiza history, but not before it has given us an understanding of the island.
It’s friendliness, its ability to mix everyone together socially, its fun side; all played out in Playa d’en Bossa.
It has been a fabulous party – indeed an immense party and all the DJ’s who played there gave nothing but the best of themselves.
The grand finale was heralded by King Carl Cox himself. Him and Nic Fanciulli have created a great and unforgettable b2b.
On the morning of 3rd October, everyone really was there; from Solomun to Marco Carola, Maceo Plex to Joseph Capriati, the Tales of Us to Sasha where the main room was still completely packed.
At noon when Carl Cox had to finally turn off the music, we all had tears in our eyes.
Not just from the tension that had built up over the night but because we knew this really would be the last time we would come out in to the morning from Space.
At times such as this it is futile to try and stop the emotion and tears.
Playa d’en Bossa’s Space has left us forever.
So Space, goodbye, thank you, it really has been the best fun over the years.
Thanks to “King” Carl Cox, to Pepe Rosello, to artists, DJ’s and the teams over the years who have produced Space’s unique magic.
It is with great melancholly that we bid farewell to a genuinely beautiful era.
But as they sometimes say, a goodbye is often the prelude of a new, intriguing adventure!
P.s. you will find more pictures & videos of the closing on our Fb fan page.

Dj Awards 2016: the winners!
Yesterday night at Pacha Ibiza was hosted the 2016 edition of Dj Awards.
It was a night of good vibes and high emotions as many of those who influence the global dance music scene gathered for the annual DJ Awards celebration at Pacha Ibiza.
Des Paul and Lucy Horobin presided over the ceremony as 21 awards were presented. 12 of which were categories that were voted for by the music fans. There were also 9 special awards which were chosen by industry insiders to recognise those who have contributed to the electronic music culture.
Anabel Englund wowed the crowd during the awards with a debut of one of her forthcoming tracks, which acted as a taster for what was to come in her extended performance during the party.
Emanuel Satie was the deserved winner of Producer, having had a string of successful releases, whilst Claptone received the kryptonite for House. ANNA’s heavy hitting, yet seductive style of techno saw her collect Breakthrough. The eclectic Mr. Doris won Ibiza DJ, Newcomer went to Mihalis Safras and after his many years of pushing the scene forward, John Acquaviva took the awards for Electronic Music Pioneer.
Ibiza Music Event was awarded to a truly unique event, Mosaic by Maceo Plex – 10 Key Spots In Ibiza, and Ibiza Night went to a party which truly captured the spirit of the island, Woomoon.
The biggest cheer of the night was for Carl Cox who picked up not one, but two awards for Techno and International.
Space became the first recipient of the newly created Iconic Club Award. Carl’s story has been intertwined with that of Space so it was fitting that the day after the historic club’s closing of Space he presented his long time friend and colleague, Pepe Rosello, with the award.
The party following the ceremony reflected our theme of this year’s event, Let’s Dance, as some of our 2016 winners rocked the dancefloor. Emanuel Satiegot the party started with Claptone taking over and bringing the house down, including a performance with Anabel Englund. John Acquaviva took the energy higher with his Tech House style and Mihalis Safras’ vinyl only set smashed it until dawn.
Compliments to Jasmine Elias and to all the team of Dj Awards for the organization!
