Pacha Group could be sold very soon: what consequences?

Today Ricardo Urgell, founder & owner of Pacha group, has confirmed in a long, interesting and exclusive interview to the daily Diario de Ibiza (read here)) that the group could be sold very soon to the Trilantic fund for an amount of approximately 350 million euros.

The sale of the Pacha Group will represent an epochal event in Ibiza, because Pacha is “The Icon” of the white island.

Let us start to imagine what the consequences could be (don’t forget that Ricardo Urgell has said that at the last minute he could still stop the sale).

Actually, we don’t think there will be any important changes, even if Pacha is sold.

We are certain the hypothetical “new management” would want to continue organizing amazing events. Events that make a difference and increase income.

So, all joking aside, keep calm because Pacha won’t be transformed in to a Yoga Room. Let’s see together what will happen, because at the end of the day Ibiza will still continue to party, and Pacha will continue to be “the protagonist” of the night…and please remember … Mr. Urgell has already announced that he has lots of new ideas.

Inspection of Agencia Tributaria: the official note of Grupo Pacha.

Yesterday the Police of Agencia tributaria made an inspection at  Pacha,  at  Grupo Empresas Matutes & at Ushuaïa.

The news was reported also by several local daily (read here  and here ).

Big news! Maceo Plex announces an unique date at Destino Ibiza!

Maceo Plex has announced a big news: an exclusive and unique date at Destino Ibiza (Pacha Group).

Maceo during summer 2016 has for the first time a weekly residency at Pacha Ibiza, every Tuesday night with “Mosaic”, and now is ready for this great event at Destino.

Save the date: the party is scheduled next July 14th, starting at 4 pm.

Ibiza 2016: the confirmed parties!

Well, in these weeks were announced several important news about Ibiza 2016.

If you want to know the list of completed and confirmed opening parties, just click here.

But now it’s time to talk about next season: week after week the puzzle  of Ibiza 2016 is getting complete. Let’s discover together the map of confirmed parties:

PACHA

At Pacha there are some interesting news and the program is quite completely scheduled.

Flower Power, after several years,  will move from Tuesday to Monday night (click here), and Tuesday night will take place the most important news of upcoming season, the  residency of Maceo Plex with Mosaic (read here) .

Wednesday night Martin Solveig is confirmed (read here), and also King Mida David Guetta will play again on Thursday night (click here).

Friday night is under the sign of “INSANE”, that next summer presents several important guests: as we already wrote Luciano & Vagabunds but – as update-  are scheduled  five dates for Nic Fanciulli (read here) six dates for MK (read here) and will play also Hot Since 82(read here).

Saturday night  Paris by night with Bob Sinclar are back (click here).

The week will end with the successful Solomun + 1, that  also next summer will be  the protagonist of Sunday night at Pacha (read here for the dates and the infos ).

USHUAIA

Ushuaia in these days is revealing the programs 2016, first of all the line up for the opening party (read here).

Actually Hardwell has been confirmed also in summer 2016 (read here), then  Ants  will start a long season with two pre-season parties and an opening party (read here). 

More residencies? FIRST UPDATE, Friday Steve Aoki lands at Ushuaia for some exclusive dates (read here), Avicii will return Sunday night (click here) and Axwell and Ingrosso Wednesday (read here)!

AMNESIA

At Amnesia there are several confirmed artists and parties: monday night with “Papa” Sven & Cocoon and – as update- a top line up of artists (read here) and a great opening party (read here).

 Tuesday with Together (click here for the line ups), Thursday will take place Cream (read here), and (UPDATE) here you have the confirmed season line ups (read here).

Saturday, starting from 11th of June, Matinèe is back,  Sunday night Dimitri Vegas and Like Mike will return with “House of Madness”.

UPDATE: Music on with Marco Carola and friends will be back every Friday night (read here) and  Wednesday night will return Hyte with Loco Dice, Chris Liebing, Pan-Pot and many more (read here).

SPACE IBIZA

Well, for the last season in Playa d’en Bossa (don’t forget these words), Space has in store a pyrotechnic program.

Tuesday Night “King” Carl Cox will lead his last complete season (read here) and the line up is getting, week by week still more epic (read here)!  Wednesday at Space will be under the sign of La Troya, and this is a big news (read here).

Enter. won’t be hosted next season, but Thursday night there isa beautiful surprise..and UPDATE…here you have it… Afterlife, with Tale of Us, Dixon and many more (read here) lands at Space …

Friday night the elegant music of Glitterbox (read here) is back with its complete program and there will be in next days more upcoming news.

DC 10

SANKEYS

The club of David Vincent has been the first one to reveal the complete programs and dates 2016 (read here).

There are several interesting news, as Dance 88/89 (here you can read the line ups) and Unusual suspects, many good confirms as Tribal Sessions, and Steve Lawler with his “Warriors”. UPDATE: also The Red Light has announced the complete line ups (read here).

Summer 2016 at Sankeys will be rich of surprises and-as usual- good music.

BLUE MARLIN

The beach club of Cala Jondal has announced the opening week end (read here)   now is available the line up (here) and trust us, over there are organizing an unforgettable summer 2016.

LIO

Lio (Pacha Group) has announced the opening party next 24th of May, more infos soon.

PRIVILEGE

Privilege until now has announced  the opening party (read here), and (UPDATE) the residency of  Solid Grooves every Thursday night for 12 weeks (read here).

Another big news, an update? Yes, Supermartxè, that moves from Friday night to Saturday night and announces several big guests (read here) and the opening party scheduled Saturday 4th of June!

But don’t be impatient, soon will be revealed more programs.

EDEN

The club of San Antonio has revealed the date of  the opening party (click here), and the residency of Judge Jules, plus the residency of The Soundgarden for 12 weeks, from 12th of June till 18th of September.

DESTINO  (Update)

Destino has announced the opening party next 27th of May (read here) more info soon.

And then?

Well we are very curious to know where will play Guy Gerber with his “Rumors”, even if he has announced the opening party and a long season (read here).

Also Heart Ibiza, a location that last summer scored brilliant results with Acid Sundays  soon should give more news.

Pacha New York City announces the closing!

Pacha NYC has announced today its closing.

Pacha Nyc along the years has been one of the most influent clubs of North America, and in January 2016 will be celebrated several closing parties before the end.

Here you have the official announcement:”The most earth-shaking decade in the history of electronic dance music took place on the Pacha dance floor.

For 10 years, it was the home of the New York-style 24-plus-hour marathon; where EDM tested its chops and earned its stripes; where stars were born and fans were converted. It gave legendary promoter Rob Fernandez a room to transform, weekend in and weekend out. It cooled you off with nitrogen and heated you up with shower dancers. It was the only reason you went West of 11th Avenue (unless your car got towed).

This January, Pacha New York – lauded as one of the top nightclubs in the world by DJ Mag magazine, and “Best Superclub” at the Club World Awards for 5 years – is closing its doors for good. But not until after a month of unforgettable, need-to-be-there, best-parties-of-your-life, culminating in a marathon classics set with 46th Street staple, Jonathan Peters.

“The average nightclub lasts 18 months – we lasted 120,” says Pacha New York’s president, Eddie Dean.“It’s been a wild ride that none of us will ever forget. Our final parties will celebrate the different artists, styles, and scenes that have made Pacha great.”

Just how major has Pacha’s run been? The numbers don’t lie:

6 million fans gracing our dance floor for over 12,000 hours. That’s more than 1,500 shows over 500 weeks. We’ve had many marriages, quite a few divorces, and at least 522 babies conceived. Fans have burned close to 10 billion calories over ten years, while our barbacks have ran  nearly 10 thousand miles (burning a million calories), carrying over 2 million bottles of alcohol (enough to fill 2 Olympic sized swimming pools!).

 The Tenth Anniversary

This December, Pacha New York proudly presents The Ten-Year Anniversary: A celebration of everywhere we’ve been, alongside our faithful patrons and dedicated fans of electronic music. The month-long celebration includes amazing line-ups and stellar parties, featuring the likes of Puff Daddy, Carnage, Dirty South, and Markus Schulz

The anniversary month will feature a centerpiece show on Saturday December 12 by none other than Erick Morillo, Pacha’s founding resident DJ and chairman of the board.

New Years Eve

Pacha is proud to mark our decade of NYC dance dominance going back to our roots, capping our run with one final New Year’s Eve party, a 72-hour marathon classics set with West 46th Street veteran, Jonathan Peters.

The Closing Party

As for the closing party..  we’re capping our run with a series of closing parties in January 2016, featuring the who’s who of dance music, from past to present”.

Thursday 23rd of July, Destino Ibiza (Pacha group) presents another great appointment with Solomun + Live!

The fist date with Solomun and Paul Kalkbrenner was simply epic…now the team of Ibiza by night is ready for a super party!

Thursday, Lio Ibiza presents: “Be crazy” grand opening! With Jean Claude Ades and Marcus Worgull!

Thursday, 28th of May, starting at 23,00, Lio Ibiza presents the opening party of “Be crazy”, the project created and leaded by Jean Claude Ades.

As Ibiza by night   wrote several times, Jean Claude Ades is one of the artists that plays one of the most elegant sound on the island.

Ades, after the brilliant performances at pacha and at Blue marlin, returns for an amazing night in the exclusive atmosphere of Lio! The line up is completed by Marcus Worgull, an excellent artist of Innervision.

Sunday, Destino Ibiza, Fernando Pablo presents: Fashion sunset!

Next Sunday, at Destino Hotel (pacha resort), starting at 6 pm till 11:30 pm, Fernando Pablo presents: Fashion sunset! Balearic beats music concept with a fashion show by  Cristina Torres at 7 pm.

The line up includes D.J. Giuliano A.L., Melian (el Chino) Paino and Van Peterkin.

During the night there will be a live show of Roberto Daiqui (guitar) and  Corinna Rebecca Brown (vocals).

The event has the media partnership of Ibiza by night and the party is hosted by Samantha Keur.
