Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel played host to one of the best parties of the summer on Saturday 1 October, putting an end to a spectacular sixth season with its epic cartoon and super hero themed closing party.
A line-up of musical heroes, comprising eight separate performances, captured the spirits of thousands of party-goers who danced in the open-air to non-stop music for over twelve hours.
Revelers arrived early to the iconic beachfront hotel, where visual effects and sophisticated lighting created images of superheroes and scientists under a tent of colour and lasers.
Dancers dressed as super heroines mingled with the crowds as they danced to the rhythm of today’s best house, techno and underground beats.
The day started with DJ Francisco Allendes got the party started at midday with his tech house beats, rounding off a season that has consolidated his career both on and off the island. He was followed by Los Angeles-based Lauren Lane, an artist that we really love, on the afternoon shift, who made the entire Ushuaïa camp vibrate for two hours to her mysterious and elegant sounds.
Taking the party into the early evening, magician of sounds and captain of acclaimed label Crosstown Rebels Damian Lazarus cast a spell over the crowds with a masterful and energetic set that will be difficult to forget.
Then Underground house guru and Ushuaïa favourite, Andrea Oliva then took to the decks with an unprecedented, skin-tingling set to put an apt end to an astounding Ushuaïa season for the ANTS front man.
He gave rise to the South African DJ / producer Black Coffee, who released his most intimate album to date last month, ‘Pieces of Me’, that won over the critics and the public with its house beats and tribal nuances. His performance gave a new meaning to the word ‘music’, bringing a level of energy and passion that left everyone speechless.
At nightfall, the stage decoration, visual effects, projections on LED screens and go-go dancer towers became even more spectacular against the dark skies. Pyrotechnics, air jets, confetti and a light cannon that emblazoned a “Super U” on the façade of The Ushuaïa Tower completed the picture of the memorable night. 
The party continued at the hands of the heirs of New York house music, The Martinez Brothers, injecting adrenaline and dynamic vibes to the season finale. They gave way to an epic set by Seth Troxler, one of electro-music’s most acclaimed international artists. The American’s charismatic performance won over the crowd, who could not stop dancing to the rhythm of his distinctive techno tunes.
In the ultimate culmination of a momentous day, The Martinez Brothers then returned to combine with Seth Troxler in an historic b2b. The performance, where three artists became one, highlighted the extent of their talents like never before and concluded with an emotional speech that put an end to a magical night.
Eight unforgettable performances and over twelve hours of the best underground music put the finishing touch on a brilliant season for Ushuaïa Ibiza Beach Hotel.
Summer 2016 was simply epic at Ushuaïa Ibiza, and now the countdown for Ibiza 2017 has started …and trust us…next summer will be also more great.
